Vitamin

When combined with sodium bicarbonate, the sodium bicarbonate aqueous solution is highly alkaline, and vitamin C will be quickly destroyed and rendered ineffective.

Sodium chloride
When the weather is hot in summer, adding 0.2% to 0.3% sodium chloride to the drinking water of broilers can significantly increase the amount of water consumed by broilers, thereby effectively alleviating heat stress. However, when sodium chloride and sodium bicarbonate are used at the same time, sodium ions can increase in the body of broilers, affecting their nerve centers and causing movement disorders. Therefore, when using sodium bicarbonate, the amount of sodium chloride should be reduced by half or full.

Aspirin
Adding 0.05% aspirin to layer feed in summer can significantly increase egg production rate, egg weight and egg shell thickness. However, sodium bicarbonate aqueous solution is alkaline and can decompose aspirin, first producing acetylsalicylate, and then decomposing into other substances, thereby losing the anti-heat stress effect, so the two should not be used together.
